Transport Service Administrator

We are currently looking for two Transport Service Administrators to join our team:

• a temporary position starting May/June 2026 until August 2027, and
• a summer job starting May/June 2026 until August 2026.

YOUR ROLE

As a Transport Service Administrator, you will investigate and make decisions regarding individuals' rights to municipal transport services and national transport services according to applicable legislation, practice, and regulations. Each decision is based on dialogue with the individual or their representative, as well as on submitted documents.

The work involves significant personal responsibility where you handle cases independently, while also being part of a team where consensus, dialogue, and support are integral to the working method. You will have contact with legal authorities, write opinions and appeals, and guide applicants via phone and e-services.

Your role also includes addressing questions and comments, as well as providing clear and pedagogical information regarding decisions and regulations. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing improvement work and development of working methods.

For those working during the summer, the assignment involves ensuring that case handling functions well even during periods of vacation absence.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with an academic education relevant to the assignment, such as in social work, behavioral sciences, or legal studies. For the summer job, you must have started such an education and completed at least term 5 by the summer of 2026.

You have good digital skills, are comfortable working in digital systems, and can easily adapt to new working methods. You communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and can tailor your message to your audience.

Experience in public authority enforcement, transport service administration, or other qualified investigative work, as well as work based on applicable legislation, is advantageous.

As a person, you are structured, stable, and responsible. You enjoy collaboration, can make independent decisions, and handle various situations in a professional and solution-oriented manner.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

The Fees and Transport Services Unit is part of the Economy and Quality Development (EKU) within the central administration of the Social Services in Skellefteå Municipality. Our workplace is located in the City Hall, right in central Skellefteå, close to both colleagues and other municipal operations.

With us, you will be part of an engaged and knowledgeable team with broad expertise in fees and transport services. Of our ten employees, five work with transport service administration, providing good opportunities for support, collaboration, and knowledge exchange in daily work.
